At 2:26 am on the morning of February 17, 1995, Mr. Nabors LSU/Charity Hospital intern) was delivered to the emergency room by New Orleans EMS workers Juan Campos and Raul Douviller. They had transported Mr. Nabors from the crime scene on Bayou St. John to Charity for medical assistance. Doctor Jean Alice Friday greeted Mr. Nabors upon arrival. Dr. Friday did not appear at the criminal trial even though she have very valuable factual information concerning the events at Charity Hospital and the condition of the defendant. However, almost a year after the incident and before Mr. Nabors sentencing, she did send a letter on Mr. Nabors behalf to the district court judge. After the EMS technicians placed Mr. Nabors in room 5 (or 6), they were ordered to leave the room by Dr. Leland Cornelius Lenahan who testified at trial that he was in charge of the emergency room.
At trial in November of 1995, testimony revealed that blood samples obtained by Charity Hospital doctors for detecting blood alcohol and controlled substances content met with a lab accident and were never ordered to be retaken. Also, the police blood sample obtained by Dr. Lenahan was described as "tampered with" by district court judge the Honorable Judge Waldron and by also by Mr. Nabors defense attorney, John Wilson Reed. LSU Medical School doctor Monroe Samuels testified at trial that the police blood sample appeared to have been diluted by IV fluids placed in Mr. Nabors arms. He further stated that a second year medical student is taught how to properly take a blood sample so that IV fluids do not dilute the test results (State brief to Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals). At his sentencing on February 15, 1996, Dr. Nabors testified that when he arrived at Charity Hospital after the homicide on February 17, 1995, he was treated by Dr. Leland Cornelius Lenahan, III, Dr. Daniel Salvatore Diaco, and Dr. Jean Alice Friday.
Unfortunately, neither the LSU Medical Institutions or Charity Hospital supplied factual information to subpoenas issued by the district criminal trial court. They withheld names and valuable data in an attempt to protect their fellow doctor who was a student and intern at the time of the homicide. After years of investigations and subpoenas in another case, names of individual present at Charity Hospital were finally supplied by Charity Hospital. While of no further value in the criminal setting, the names of these individual are presented here as facts for the record.
The doctors, nurses, and staff who were present in the ER when Mr. Nabors blood samples met with a lab accident and when the "tampered with" blood sample was obtained from Mr. Nabors are as follows:

Anyone with a conscience please contact us with any information about the actions of doctors,
nurses and staff occurring at
Charity Hospital (now known as the Medical Center of Louisiana) in New
Orleans, Louisiana on February 17, 1995. There must be a change at these
institutions so that this type of cover-up by doctors and nurses to help one of
their own avoid prosecution for their criminal actions must be stopped. The
